Is your hearing aid not working? There are many reasons why this could be happening. The first reason is the simplest! The hearing aid may just need to be cleaned. It's critical to keep the receiver and the speakers clean of debris and ear wax. The smallest speck of wax in the receiver can stop a hearing aid in it's tracks! We recommend having your hearing aids cleaned every 4 - 6 months. In some cases, it could be necessary to do every month.

We can do a deep clean of your hearing aid for $10 - $20 (this service is free to current patients that are still under warranty). In this process we replace the dome and/or filter then vacuum deep inside the receiver. We also clean inside the the battery compartment and remove any debris that has collect in the speakers. If the hearing aid is excessively dirty, we may need to take the hearing aid apart. In this case, there may be additional charges.

If we find other problems with the hearing aid, we can repair most any brand that is less than 12 years old. Many hearing aid repairs can be done in our office lab, however, extensive hearing aid repair will be sent our remote repair lab or to the manufacturer.
